Today was the final day of our stay, and it was a beautiful and warm morning. I popped out for a run, confident in the knowledge that if my back started to play up, then it wasn't going to affect the rest of the holiday too much!
I went for a run around the southern end of Manhattan, taking in the usual sights of the Statue of Liberty and the World Trade Center.
In went up to the rooftop patio for a bit to enjoy the review before we had to leave.
Kathryn had the most awful cluster headache, and so we didn't venture very far. We went out for a short walk when she felt up to it. But actually, we just laid low until we needed to lave for our flight which was around 2pm.
We had a McDonalds for dinner at the airport, so I didn't need to eat anything on the plane. The flight back was largely uneventful and I tried my best to get some sleep. We had the emergency exit seats and so there was plenty of space to stretch out.
When we got back to Manchester, we had a tricky drive back to Durham to pick up Izzy. It was really foggy the whole way. We were so tired that when we arrived we went straight to sleep for a bit.
